Move On!!!!

I’m not going to go on, and on, and on, and on like so many of you. No, instead, I’m going to MOVE ON! Politics is a topic I used to be extremely interested in. Of course, that was “back in the day” when we could have civil discourse. Our society is so scary today that I stay as far as I can from this “hot button” topic of politics, However, in this case, I’ve just gotta get this off of my chest and MOVE ON!

Folks, the election is over and it’s time to MOVE ON! I can’t remember a time when so many of you are so wound up, angry, and emotional about an election of an individual which, today, is much more symbolic than substantive. Why you don’t understand that just baffles me to the point of exhaustion as you must MOVE ON!

The election is over and if you truly want to get agitated over something, be upset of the billions of dollars that were so wastefully spent on this year’s elections. Certainly, all of these billions could have been spent in a much more useful way! Election reform is so needed, but will never come to fruition because it would have to be enacted upon by those it would affect the most–our elected members of Congress. Now, the Baby Boomer would say that’s something to get all worked up about!

Let me just say I didn’t vote for Donald Trump, but the Republicans have been given a mandate as he won convincingly taking thirty of the fifty states in accumulating 312 electoral votes including all of the so-called seven battleground states, a majority in the Senate, and a majority in the House of Representatives. The electorate have spoken and in an extremely formidable way as it’s time to MOVE ON!

Hey, I don’t like Donald Trump either and it’s for all the obvious reasons you continually, to tedium, repeat over and over again. To me, he’s just a big buffoon and slimy to the core. However, as I stated in my earlier post entitled “It Was Destiny”, he survived that assassination attempt, got right back up, and is a proven fighter. Yes, he was destined to be our POTUS once again and, like it or not, it’s time to MOVE ON!

For those of you who thought Kamala Harris was going to be our next POTUS, I believe you were dreaming for there wasn’t a chance of that happening. Yes, Joe had to go, but he left the race too late with just a hundred days to go leaving the Democrats with no other choice other than Harris who was too closely associated with Biden being a part of that administration and could never really differentiate herself. If Biden had announced early on that he wasn’t going to seek reelection, the Dems could’ve held a primary possibly finding a candidate more suitable to the electorate. It’s time to MOVE ON!

Harris was just a puppet for the Democratic Party who, as of now, have no idea what they’re doing having focused their entire campaign on two major themes which failed to resonate with the electorate: democracy and women’s rights to abortion. Not speaking on the topics which was on the minds of the electorate also cost them the Senate and the House of Representatives. At this time, the Democratic Party has found itself in, truly, a real dilemma. It’s time to MOVE ON!

The media needs to settle down as well finally realizing the only impact they have on the electorate is a negative one. They focus so much of their attention on the I-95 corridor of the educated liberal urbanites and suburbanites north of the Mason-Dixon line who don’t really represent middle class America–the voters who actually impact elections. It’s time to MOVE ON!

While I’m at it, I’ve just gotta say this as well. If you’re in the field of entertainment, you know an actor, a singer, or an athlete making millions of dollars for I don’t understand why, please just SHUT-UP and do what you’re so overpaid to do–entertain!!!! It’s time to MOVE ON!

On the other hand, the Republican Party, in spite of Donald Trump, spoke to the people who impact elections and that’s the middle class. They knew what people talk about around the kitchen table on a daily basis living paycheck to paycheck: the economy, immigration, and foreign affairs. Their message was heard “loud and clear” and it transcended into a victorious mandate for the Republicans.

Let’s be clear, though, as the POTUS, the Senate, and the House of Representatives will only have a short “honeymoon period” to get something done and keep all of their campaign promises. Talk is talk, but action is action and that’s what the middle class is looking for. Additionally, Republicans, due to their message, were able to attract voters who would not normally vote Republican, as well as those who, like me, call themselves Independents.

As I said in the beginning, I did not vote for Donald Trump! But as you should know by now, I did vote AGAINST Kamala Harris knowing I haven’t voted FOR a candidate in years. Yes, it’s finally time for all of us to MOVE ON!!
